It will be interesting to follow this story. IMHO, the Humvee is a great military vehicle -- I spent quite a bit of time in one during Desert Shield/Storm. If a hybrid Humvee can function well under the demanding conditions it would inevitably face, it could go a long way toward making hybrid technology more mainstream.
It will also be interesting to see how quickly/slowly the idea spreads to the Hummer.
