HOUSTON - ConocoPhillips has joined several other major corporations urging Congress to require limits on greenhouse gases tied to global warming, the first major U.S. oil company to take such a stance.
What does it tell you when Big Oil is worried about Global Warming/Climate Change?

It tells me that Big O is ready to implement measures to reduce their own output simply to further increase their profits.

ConocoPhillips and the others want to make sure any legislation is beneficial to them.
Big Oil does not think we are in trouble, or they'd halt production immediately.
