Default 2010 Honda Accord Diesel gets 62.8 mpg

I wonder if the 62.8 mpg figure is in imperial gallons and is a highway figure, but regardless, the fuel economy of this vehicle will be extremely impressive, assuming that it really will be coming to the United States in 2010.

I wish Toyota would at least make a diesel engine a choice on their hybrid models. The last Toyota I am aware of that offered diesel in the North American market was the 1985 Corolla- which averaged 34/ 47 mpg!

Obviously, biodiesel becomes a reduced emissions possibility on one also, unlike regular engines which don't have another viable option.
