Are you sure it wasn't a 'Burb'? I think they had tanks that big at one time. I know that had at least 32 gallons.

I work at home and with my HCH, I fill up once every 3- 4 months, makes it easier to fill up at those prices. Though the increase impacts other products - food, etc.

At 3.50/g, we're paying around .22/C. Anyone out there stop at Starbuck's for a 4.00 + hi-calorie fill-up?

The 1997 Tahoe (please note the correct spelling) had a 30 gallon fuel tank. That is two generations removed from the current vehicle, which has a 26 gallon tank. The TAHOE N-E-V-E-R had a 32 or 38 gallon tank in a factory built configuration.

The 1997 SUBURBAN had a 42 gallon tank.

Peace,

Martin

Quicumque, not my Tahoe (was spelled correctly, I have a nickname for just about every car) point was it was over $100. You are probably right on the size as you are the man when it comes to GM (and ive been a Gm fan untill recently and not completly converted to the dark side(Ford))

We have convergence!

And believe it or not, I often root for Ford. Just like I occassionally root for Michigan State when they're playing anyone but Michigan.

Peace,

Martin

btw - Who's responsible for the quote in your sig?

Thats one of those "quotes" that has been used to slam GW Bush, Al Gore, Dan Quayle etc.. I thought it was funny but I really don't know who said it. I got it in an e-mail that was supposedly Al Gore but I could not prove it, checked snopes and google.
