Quincy IL, First Escape Hybrid
As far as I know in a medium size town (~45,000) I'm the first to own this type of car. I have to say, it has gotten a lot of notice at work. The biggest question I've gotten during the investigation phase, as well as the last few days that I've own it is -- do you need to plug it in??
I have experience with hybrids since I have a family member with a Prius. However, I really need a SUV. So, I was estatic to see that Ford made an Escape with the drivetrain of the Prius, just improved. I know that I won't regret trading in my Explorer. The slightly less cargo space is more than made up in fuel savings. Anyway, I can add a trailor if I need THAT much room.

Welcome!
Exactly the reason I've added a receiver hitch to my NHW11 03 Prius and have a light-weight, folding trailer in the car port. I'm not out to move the household goods cross country but there are times when you need to handle a light-weight, over-sized load at urban speeds.
There is an FEH FAQ and knowing the characters that hang out here, it is probably well worth a read.

LOL, is that a compliment or an insult?
Anyway, yes, some guy wrote a FEH FAQ, and I highly suggest reading it, if you haven't. All of it too.
(Click the link in my signature if you haven't found it yet.)Oh yes, welcome, and enjoy!
