I've just taken delivery of an Escape Hybrid and am quite pleased (though a little suprised). I'm not a particularly green-oriented individual; but the steadily climbing fuel prices along with the seemingly rapid improvement in Hybrid technology lead me to make the leap.

I'm a General Contractor and typically travel 25-30K miles per year. The Escape's all wheel drive made it the model of choice.

I seem to be averaging 26-30 miles per gallon on 85 octane fuel. My only disappointment so far is that I can't run E-85 fuel through it.....guess I can't have it all.

I've found this site quite informative in getting up to speed on maximizing the benefits of my Hybrid.
