Just joined. Hope everyone is doing good. Looking to buy Son's first car and will likely have a few questions about the Honda Insight 2000-2006. Thanks ahead of time.

Welcome. Just a minor correction:

• Small-Insight - the original is a two seater with a aluminum body. It came with both a manual and CVT automatic. They are rare.
• Big-Insight - a Honda Fit version of the Integrated Motor Assit, it seats 4 and looks to be a nice ride. I believe the hybrid version is only offered as an automatic.

Honda has another hybrid, the Honda Civic Hybrid, which I understand is a 5 seater, compact car. I suspect test driving a Honda Civic Hybrid might give some idea of Honda hybrid performance.

Historically, the Honda Insights have held the most affordable place in the spectrum of hybrid vehicles.
