Strangely enough, I'm new here.

I don't own a hybrid, but sometime this week I plan to visit a Honda dealership and order a new 2006 Honda Insight. I have no idea how long it will take to actually get it, I assume at least a month.

Can't wait to drive it though! It sounds like a fun little car.

Keep that car in good order. Some day they will be worth a lot of money. Honda doesn't realy sell many of them each year and I would almost consider them limited editions

 

As of this morning I am a proud owner of a $500 deposit on a blue, manual insight due to arrive from the factory on the 17th.

Good move, BLUE AND a MANUAL! NICE choice. You never got a chance to drive one? You'll enjoy it either way. I don't regret mine and would love to get another someday.

 

I've had the car for a week now and absolutely love it! Coolest car I've ever owned. Should have gotten one years ago.

 

WoW!! You got that quick! Good for you. Is your commute long? There's some threads here on how to "comfy" it up if it is long.

Keep track of that mileage and study the techniques mentioned on this site. To be honest, the last few hundred miles I've been seriously ******* my Insight and still have been getting 57-58mpg. Plus the last month my commute has been about 4 minutes, KILLER of gas mileage.

 

My commute is around 20 miles each way.. and the insight's been pretty comfy so far. I like the seats!

So far I'm getting average of 60mpg.. improving though.
