Hello from an '07 FEH 2WD Owner
Hi!
We've had a Prius since January of '04 - my hubby's car - but I was finally able to trade the minivan in on an '07 Ford Escape Hybrid 2WD last month.
I am loving getting wonderful gas mileage, in addition to being able to tote home furniture-in-a-box from IKEA.
My first tank was only 28.5 MPG - but that included the terrible mileage from people test driving it and letting it idle with the air on at the dealer. Since then my mileage has gone up steadily, and at 1300 miles, I am getting 34 MPG average in a mix of driving conditions. So much better than 15-20 mpg in the minivan!
We also traded the '04 Prius in a couple of weeks ago for a new '06 - so my hubby is very happy with his new car too.
We are now an all-Hybrid family!

Hi Elaine-
My wife and I are going to be purchasing an 07 2WD Escape in the next couple of weeks as well. Would you mind divulging how much yours cost? We live in Seattle and I'm trying to get the best deal possible on a base model with the Safety Package (we have a 6 month old and we are set on getting that option at the least).

Hi Warren, I live in VA, outside of DC, so I'm about as far from you as I can get, although Seattle is one of my favorite cities.
When all was said and done, I paid $25,300 for my '07 FEH with no Nav system or add-ons except for the Safety Package. We felt that it was a great price and we got the full Blue Book price on our trade-in, so we bought it then and there.
