2001 Prius Owner
Hi I'm Kelly and I have a 2001 Prius that runs great, has a great sound system, and I really love the car. I actually like its appearance better than the newer Prius's.
I get about 43 mpg with a mix of freeway/around town driving. Less if I use the A/C.
The car has about 70000 miles under its belt. Anyone else have one of these ? How many miles do you have on it ?

Re: 2001 Prius Owner
Welcome!
I have an 03 Prius that is coming up on 70,000 miles. I bought it used with 49,300 miles almost exactly a year ago.
When you get a chance, wander over to the Prius forum where we've got FAQ with driving and maintenance tips. We also have a great mileage database. I used it to good effect (see signature.)
Have you had your transaxle oil changed, yet? This is something I've been making a study of. Also, one of our fellow NHW11, 01-03 Prius, owners has started an experiment that appears to increase his MPG by "8-10%" using a different transaxle oil.
Wander over to the Prius forum and let's chat.
