Default Toyota devises hydrogen tanks to improve fuel-cell cars' mileage

Toyota Motor Corp said Monday it has developed two high-pressure hydrogen tanks that extend the cruising range of environment-friendly fuel-cell vehicles. Capable of storing 35 and 70 mega-pascals of hydrogen, both tanks have been certified by the High Pressure Gas Safety Institute of Japan and are designed for use in Toyota's FCHV fuel-cell hybrid passenger vehicle, the biggest Japanese automaker said.
