Honda comes top in Times' ‘concerned car buyer’ survey
A telephone survey by the reputation research firm Populus for Times Newspapers indicates that only 34% of respondents think that car manufacturers are taking environmental issues seriously. In the survey Honda scored 57 out of 100, any score above 50 indicating a positive impression of the brand. Toyota, despite the successful promotion and popularity of its hybrid-engined Prius, scored a slightly lower 53, although it was considered to be the marque doing the most to minimise the environmental impact of driving, and 26% of those surveyed agreed that they would prefer to buy a hybrid car.
