Energy Bill Provides Sweet Rewards for Hybrid, Diesel Owners
The AIADA newsletter reported that the Energy bill, currently awaiting signature from President Bush, would provide some of the biggest tax credits to date for hybrid consumers, according to an analysis by the Union of Concerned Scientists. Depending on the model purchased, hybrid owners will receive $1,700 to $3,000 in tax credits beginning January 1, 2006. At present, hybrid consumers receive a $2,000 tax deduction, which is less attractive than tax credits that provide tax payers a dollar-for-dollar reduction.

that $2100 on the Honda Civic Hybrid will make me hold out until 2006 to purchase the car that I have been wanting. (Just can't haul that many people in a small 2 seat truck)
