Chrysler starts building its first hybrids this week in Newark, Del., and there is high praise for the product in early reviews of pre-production versions of the trucks.
On the one hand, analysts question the wisdom of launching not one but two new full-size trucks at a time when truck sales and residual values are swooning so badly they threaten the very survival of Chrysler, Ford and General Motors.
But on the other hand, they sure do like the hybrid versions of the Dodge Durango and the Chrysler Aspen.
