Sell your HCH2 private. Don't be in a hurry!!! Is the Insight that much better than your HCH2, I doubt it. Honda has cut out some of the engine features[valve tran] smaller IMA system, smaller car. They have improved the CVT and have a eco drive, which is nice? You will never save enough in fe to justify it in dallars! Wait until you can sell yours or waite for gas prices to go crazy again, and it has allready started here. $.99 per lit.x3.78 conv. to US. Hal

Considering all the extra's you've purchased for your Civic Hybrid, and with the cool reception you're getting from dealers regarding trading in, maybe just stay with what you've got?

The Insight is a smaller car with less mileage and less features. Trading an HCH with an Insight does not make any sense to me, unless you are willing to sacrifice just to get the hatch!

Do you mean the original poster, Donald? I would have thought he'd post that info himself. Did he get the 2009?

You are just throwing money down the drain in this situation and paying a premium for a newer but inferior product.

If you want to make the numbers work you need to accumulate enough miles and hang on to your vehicle for 6+ years. Me? I plan on keeping mine for 14 years as that was how old my last car was when it finally died.

And unlike GM (brand of my last car), I notice that older Hondas are not nearly as rare on the streets 8)
