If they can produce these for the advertised $20K, lookout Insight:

Default New 330 mpg Hybrid: Put Up or Shut Up

Six years is a l-o-n-g time for the Insight to remain the mpg champ - too long. I welcome anyone to beat it in fuel economy. It should be easy with the improvements in technology.

I'm waiting to hear an article of anyone driving the Aptera(C). Volkswagen has a similar-looking 250mpg one-cylinder diesel, Suski(?) had a 120mpg concept hybrid....none of these have entered production.

The Aptera is vaporware until we start hearing of test drives.

Bring it on. For now the picture shows a "rendering" of the real thing. Then need to build them on in mass then we'll talk. Just like Delta said though, 6 years is WAY too long to be a mileage champ. You'd think someone would of come out with something better by now. What I see humor in is when I get "bad" mileage in my Insight (around 59 mpg) I jump up and down with glee when I equal that mileage with my Civic.

The Insight might be beaten out by a a newborn sibling next year ... I think we might have the 100 mpg Honda VERY soon.
