The main Reason:
Honda has only an 8year / 100k Mile warranty on the battery....and Part of PZEV ratings are based on them having a 10 year / 120k Mile warranty on the battery

Just hang in there and read all you can about the system. It may seem odd to you now , but it will all come together in time.The auto-stop feature freaks you ,but after awhile you don't even relize that the ICE has stopped. You will find the Hybrid puts fun back into driving once you start to appreciate all the bennifits you are getting when you fill the tank.

Like the others said, it's supposed to do that.
"Auto-stop" freaked me out at first, but then I got used to it, and actually like it now.
It's meant to save fuel by not having the car idle at a stop.

This is my first Hybrid and I like the Auto stop feature. I knew about it before I bought the car so I was prepared for it. But I still got a little scared when it happened for the first time. I let my dad drive the car but I didn't tell him about. He freaked out He just looked at me and said this F-ing car just staled. It was too funny

The battery warranty is not the same across all models....the Insight has an 8 Year / 100k whereas the HCH2 has an 8 year / 80k....and the Battery warranty DOES affect what they rate the vehicle emissions-wise...
