This is my first Hybrid. I like it a lot. I have only drove about 58 miles (got it with 4 miles on it) so far I am getting about 35 mpg. I drove a friends 2005 prius and the insight turns easier and handles a lot better I think (but to be fair I didn't drive the prius to much). I got the LX model so I don't have the VSA.
The 3D speedometer with the blue and green light looks incredible. I was driving it on 95 in philly at rush hour so i couldn't really drive it. But I am going to take it on a long ride tomorrow . So i'll have a better feel for it. But overall I am happy but then again I have been driving a 2000 Mercury Cougar for 9 years.

I saw 10 brand spanking new Insight hybrids on the road yesterday, on a trailer north-bound on Interstate 15 in San Diego. Took some picts and want to share a few here. Very nice looking cars.

Thanks for the offer Steve V. but only smart diesel or all-electric smart will take my money, whenever that will be. Changed your mid about the car eh?

I still love the smart. However, I need a four-seater every day now, so that's why the new Civic Hybrid.
