I've noticed what appears to be a panel in the left front fender (driver's side) of the 2010 Insight. I'm not really sure if it's only on the EX model because it doesn't appear in all pictures.

My salesman feels that there's a fuse box/panel located inside the panel but it seems odd to access fuses from outside. In fairness, the dealership is still awaiting the arrival of their first Insights so it's just a guess on his part.

Anyone have any idea what it might be?

 

... Just found out it's for towing.

A circular "hook" screws in behind the panel to which a rope may be attached.
