Remember, it's rare when you actually need a 357 Magnum, anyway. They're mostly for waving in the air, kinda like a Corvette.

I'll keep driving our Insight I as long as it will last. I've always hoped, when it gave out, something would be on the market that got even better mileage. Maybe there will be a PHEV by then. Maybe Honda's next two seater hybrid will do the trick.
Apart from that, when I transport the visiting in-laws, I wish I had good mileage plus a back seat. That's when I think hard about the Insight 2 and the Prius 3.

Best tank yet. CVT is starting to feel/sound "normal" to me. I've had the car for a little less than six weeks and I'm loving it more every day.
Trip A is 10% 65+ MPH, 20% 30-45 MPH and the rest 55 MPH. Trip B hasn't been reset.
I topped off before I reset Trip A and the refill took almost exactly 10 gallons (10.06 gal) so the calculation is pretty easy - 514.4m/10g = 51.44 MPG Actual.

OK, another best tank yet! 529.3 miles. Over 5K miles and I have my first oil change scheduled for Monday (6/1). The lady at my dealer's service desk told me I could wait until 15K miles but I'm gonna go ahead and do it anyway.
Trip A is 5% 65+ MPH, 20% 30-45 MPH and the rest 55 MPH. Trip B hasn't been reset.
I didn't reset Trip A this time as the estimated mileage on the MID was still increasing and I wanted to see how high I could (can? it's still not reset) get it. It probably would have been even higher if mother nature didn't intervene today with rainy, chilly weather.
I was bouncing between 54.8 and 54.9 on the way home last night. I suspect it would have ended up at over 55 MPG if the nice weather had held.
Oh well, Trip A isn't reset yet, so I can still get it up there. And of course trip B hasn't been reset at all yet.
Final numbers on this tank: 529.3 miles / 10.2 gal refill = 51.89 MPG actual.
Heading toward a solid, "real world" driving, 10 MPG over the EPA/Honda estimates. And loving it....

Re: Please list mpg on insight
I have about 3,000 miles now on my 2010 Honda Insight. According to the gas pumps, I have been getting right at 44.5 MPG. Typically the display shows approx. 2 MPG higher, so either I'm getting ripped off my multiple different gas pumps, or the display exaggerates the fuel economy.

The MID does show about 1 to 2 MPG higher than what I'm actually getting. I have heard that the Honda computer's are a little better than the Prius. I have heard that the Pruis wil some time's show over 5 MPG than what they are actually getting. Right now mine is showing a 52.6 MPG's so I will be probebly be around 51 or higher when I fill up. I have also noticed when the fuel pump clicks off doent put any more fuel in. That last burst of fuel will be about a 1 MPG differenc from say getting 52 to 51 MPG's. Over all I like the car. The only thing I don't like is you cannot see the hood. You are still getting better than EPA estimates.

Going up, up up...
These images are actually from last week, trip A has dropped some but trip B (which hasn't been reset since day 1) is almost to 52MPG and I now have over 7K miles.
And I've filled all my bars, waiting for my first medallion.
I'm loving this car more each day!

Re: Please list mpg on insight
I have had a trip over 60 MPG. I have not driven long enough in one day to fill up that same day. The trip that I had over 60 MPG, the next day came down to 52 MPG because of the heavy head wind. I have only had a couple of trips below 50 MPG. My average is 51.5 MPG and starting to go up. I posted pictures in my garage.

Re: Please list mpg on insight
I had a diesel vehicle from 1977 (VW Rabbit) until I purchased a Honda Insight in 2006. Diesel fuel historically had been lower than regular gas until 3 years ago with the introduction of the low sulfur. The VW diesels required less maintenance than gas vehicles and are more normal than hybrids. I had three VW diesels during that period, the 77 mentioned above, an 85 Golf and a 92 Jetta. The Jetta was very trouble prone on a multitude of "minor" problems that collectively resulted in a major headache while the 85 was perfect until it just died at 250K miles. My current Honda Insight (gen 1 2005) has been trouble free, with just over 70K miles and averaging close to 70 MPG since I have owned it. The new Insight is a completely different car, but I would expect the same dependability that Honda is known for. As for endurance, the jetta is still on the road today with 325K miles driven bu my son-in-law and the Rabbit also hit the 300K mile mark just before I traded it for the Golf. The Golf as mentioned just made it to 250K miles when the engine seized.
