Post Hybrid Anti-Theft

I have an Insight and am considering a security system for it. I've read about the Ravelco which involves a killswitch circuit for several parts of the car. Anyone with advice or experience with a hybrid auto security system?

I haven't heard of too many people adding additional security onto the Insight since it already has a security system to keep people from breaking in, plus you need a chipped/coded key in order to start it.

Seems like it may be an unneeded additional layer of security?
