Blind spots on Insight due to Kamm design

If you are really concerned you could try wide angle camera and save some wind resistance by removing the mirrors.

I had our rear seat jammed full of fiberglas insulation batts a few months back (couldn't even see the back window), and it got me acquainted with the side mirrors, which I've always underutilized. I know there's great big blindspots with mirrors only, but it's nice to use all the tools at your disposal.

I can't help you with the transmission, but the IMA problems can be fixed cheaply. 200K is nothing for a battery.

I can see behind me with both side mirrors on my Insight 2001 CVT.
