Found a Blue 2002 CVT with 52,xxx miles for 11,000 at a dealer not to far away. No CD player, just standard am/fm/cassette.
Does this seem like a pretty good deal to you?

 

Well, it's official... my mother is now a proud owner of a 2002 Navy Blue Pearl CVT Insight with 52,xxx miles. The $10,990 price was at the kbb private party price. Not bad. It is very clean and just got new Potenza tires on it late spring.

 

Hi Eric; I am pleased you mother has joined the ranks of Insight owners! I hope you will assist her in achieving high fuel economy. I was going to mention to you (it's too late now) that a dealer in my area has a new 2005 CVT (red) that just came in from Japan! By the way, your mom's car is Monte Carlo blue pearl, not Navy. Navy was first introduced in 2004. Later, Billy......

 

Thanks for the clarification on color. I'll do my best to help her in the mpg department. Unfortunately, currently she tends to do a fair amount of short trips. This is especially mpg-draining in the cold midwest winter.
