I did take it and the dealer said all is well. I might try another dealer, I do not trust the service department where I purchased. The demand on AC systems in Vegas is high, it gets 105 plus degrees for about 90 days.

These things are true of all vehicles:
- Inclines kill the mpg, because it takes fuel to climb a hill. You get it some of it back on the reverse side of the trip, but everyone gets worse mileage in hilly country.
- AC is going to be challenged by the desert in the summer.

Ford F250 owners I know get mileage in the middle teens, not 10. Maybe some of the same forces that impact the mileage in your Civic also impact the mileage in the Ford F250.
