Default what is it like to drive the HCH without the IMA? part 4. Good news/bad news

The dealership installed my new battery last Friday. I've got a bit more oomph to the car now. So, I was a happy camper (more or less after a $1000 bill) until Sunday. I noticed the battery was charging as I was driving along, which seemed odd and then the next thing I know the IMA battery light comes back on and the Check Engine light, too.

So it's back to the dealership for me. They weren't at all thrilled to see me the last time; I got what could be described as sulky, begrudging service. I don't think they like it when customers complain to corporate.

I'm beginning to think it's time to cut this car loose. I was playing Scrabble on Sunday and my tiles spelled out T-O-Y-O-T-A. I know it's Scrabble and not a Ouija board but still. . .

Does your 2003 HCH have the manual or the automatic transmission?

If it's a standard I might be interested depending on location and asking price...
