Default Weight of gasoline in tank vs. mileage?

Does the weight of a full tank of gas vs a 1/2 tank make a significant difference in mileage. If so, for the truly hardcore, filling only 1/2 (or 1/4) of a tank at a time could make a difference. Of course, the cost in time is much greater. But that may result in savings since one is essentially "dollar cost averaging" gas into the tank.
