Also, the recommended CVT fluid change is 30K miles which I do myself. 10K for oil and rotate tires, 20K for oil filter, and 30K for air & cabin filters + CVT fluid.

Brake fluid flush every 3 years, and spark plugs and valve adjustment at 100K miles.

This is the schedule that I maintain on my HCHII, and have had excellent reliability on with the car. The Maintenance minder is for the automotive illiterate.

looks like a good maintenance schedule - I assume you do the work yourself. I'd personally skip the frequent Cabin Air filter change and replace the Oil Filter with every change.

What I do is at each 10 K oil change, I remove the oil filter, drain it of as much oil as possible and reinstall it, then at the 20K interval, replace the filter. The filter can go more than 20K miles no problem, and a bi-oil change replacement schedule is prudent.

Springing for $6 for an oil filter is a no-brainer. I would never not change the filter. Old guy, I guess.

I guess it is your money, but our world needs all the help we can give it! Throwing away good filters does not help. H

I'm curious why you think reusing a filter is a good idea? Is it because that's what Honda says? I had never heard of reusing an oil filter until I read it I. The owners manual. This is my 15th vehicle I've owned and don't recall seeing that practice with those cars. I would want scientific proof that there was no degradation.

The majority of manufacturers recommend a 20K filter change interval these days. This has been standard practice for about 10 years.

When I do the 10K oil fill on my HCHII, I remove the oil filter, and let it drain for about 30 minutes, then reinstall it. I change the filter every 2nd oil change.

I think OE put it very well. So save yourself some change. It adds up over the life of the car.My engine does not use a drop of oil between changes, and it is a 06. I also only use 3 liters of oil per change . H

Fluid change for Civic Hybrid can be done for every 30 K miles and in Air filter's case, it should get replaced for every 15k Miles.
