Default Tape Deck Or CD Player?

Does the 2003 Civic Hybrid have a tape deck or CD player?

Although I have an '04, I'm pretty sure the '03 has a CD player.
I looked up an '03 that was for sale on the internet, and they had lots of pictures including one that shows that there's a CD player on the dash setup:

It's weird though...in my car's manual they have instructions for both a tape deck and a CD player, but my car only has a CD player. There's no tape deck in it at all.

It has a CD Player. Tape deck was an option, it replaces they pocket right beneath the CD/Radio.

Note on the Tape deck, it only comes in black, so will note match the color of the CD player. I should know, my car came with one.

I bought my 2003 used. The previous owner wanted to hear her priest's sermons in the car, so she had a cassette player installed where the drawer is located. So, mine has both.

Ha. My salesman told me my car was previously owned by a priest.
Funny coincidence.

I think I'd miss having the cd storage space if I had the cassette player in that spot. I use that space all the time. But the car does provide a lot of places to store cds, so it's all good.

I actually really appreciate the console slot for CD storage. I'd like to figure out a way to get an AUX hookup for my HCH, eventually. For now though, that space is perfect.

I purchased a band's new album on cassette, a few months back, knowing that it would *always* be in my cassette deck.

My civic isn't 2003 but I have a friend who has it. If i remember right the 2003 civic hybrid has a single-cd in dash head unit then it has a connector on the back that could go to an optional CD Changer or tape deck. It has also plugged a P.I.E converter into that jack. The P.I.E has RCA inputs, and my MP3 player appears as "CD-1, Track 1" on the head unit. You can toggle between CD player and MP3 player with the CD button on the head unit.
