sunroof wiring
I have a 2003 HCH that we bought when they first came out. We put an aftermarket power sunroof in the very first week, which has worked beautifully. Now, after about 40,000 miles, the electronic power steering is malfunctioning and the Honda dealership claims that they won't fix it because we have the sunroof (assuming that is the cause). Have any of you had a sunroof put in and where did they connect the 12V power for it? Ours was connected directly to the fuse box, apparently.

Re: sunroof wiring
I read on another message board a while ago that it is against the law for a company to refuse to service or refuse warranty because after market accessories were added. But this is ONLY if the installation was done by a professional.

Re: sunroof wiring
I read that the mfgr has to prove the aftermarket accessory caused the malfunction. Nothing about a pro installing it. Dealer is feeding you a line of BS. Who would wire the sunroof to anything that has to do with power steering. You might go by the place the put the roof in, ask them to spend 5 min showing you where there wired it up so you can tell the dealer he's full of it.
