Striking new Honda hybrid pics
On the other hand, check out the 4-door Honda Insight. Pretty cool!

The article states that Honda thinks their hybrid market share is hurting because they don't have a visually distinctive "green" car. Toyota has a very recognizable car in the Prius.
I chose the Honda because it WASN'T distinctive. It looks very similar to other Civic sedans. I have never wanted a "standout" type car. My last vehicle was a 2001 White Ford Taurus SE, exactly like about 4,000 OK government vehicles.
What about you? Do you see the hybrid car as a "statement" or "status symbol"? Are you looking to be anonymous, or noticeable?

It's prob that the Prius shape has the lowest wind resistance, so there you go.
And who cares what it looks like?
The practicality of a five-door with the FE of an Insight? No complaints from me.
And maybe we could reserve final design judgement until the camo is off.
Cheers, nf
I guess I'm vain, but I care what my car looks like... I'm pretty sure most people do. I bought the Civic hybrid because I think the Prius is ugly. I will reserve judgment on the new Honda until I can get a good look at it though. I'm not trying to make a statement or stand out (or fit in) by driving a hybrid. I did the math and in my situation it was cheaper to buy and drive the hybrid.
I think this car has a good chance at being attractive. Why are they revealing blue-coloured "angel eyes" in the headlights? Notice how the roof line tapers back along the hatch at a leaner angle than on the Prius? Wonder what that will do for aerodynamics. I hope that they won't have the horizontal bar across the rear view that causes criticism of the Prius and the Euro Civic Type-R hatchback.
The Prius has head and tail lights that scream out, "My God, I got big lights!" But the ones on this test vehicle are more restrained. I bet they will blend the Civic and older Insight looks together. Only thing missing are the rear fairings over the wheels. :-)

I don't feel the new Honda Hybrid. Well yeah I like hybrids but that honda don't have the looks.
