Rolling forward when in reverse ?

I've mostly just pressed the brake firmly when I've come to a stop on a hill and that typically holds it in its place until the engine starts back up. If I'm worried that I'll roll, I'll gently pump the brake (without removing my foot from it completely, just halfway back up) and it'll drain the vacuum pressure and restart the car before you have to go.
