Default Pennzoil joins the club

Just letting everyone know that Mobil1 is no longer the only source of 0W-20. The boys in the yellow bottles now have it as well: http://www.pennzoil.com/products/mot.../platinum.html

Livvie: That may be, but since nobody actually said anything, most folks didn't know it even existed, and continued under the belief that Mobil1 was the only option.

Jordan: Not that I'm aware of, but there are a number of motor oil sites out there that do do this comparison. One of them probably has, or is in the process.

I'm not sure it's even out yet? Pennzoil's been saying they are about to release it any time now. But, I've yet to see a bottle.

Has anyone used, or even seen any?

One of the guys on the racing board I haunt actually has it at his place of employment (NTB, I think), but it's just as hard to find on the shelf as M1 is. Low demand > low stock levels.

FWIW, Mobil makes the Honda OEM oil. I'm not sure if they could argue that you used the wrong stuff if you ever had engine trouble and they tested and found you used the Penzoil thus denying a warranty claim.

As long as it's got the API starburst seal, they can't deny based on "bad oil."

A simple search on this site will tell you that is not the case.

Great in theory, but you know how many people actually *USE* the search function versus just starting a new thread. I suppose we could always ask that http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php be required viewing for all newcomers, but after being in boards for nigh 20 years, I know it's not going to happen
