Default NEW Headlights HID OEM 05 HCH PICS

Well being that I have to mess with every car I own, the civic was no exception.

Pics were taken with only the low beam on. I also put some "Super White" bulbs in the high beams, but they are too blue, and reduced the light output. Im gonna put the OE bulbs, or SilverStar's in.

The Kit.

Philips D2R bulbs (OEM Bulbs, like on a IS300, BMW ect..), Re-Based for 9006. 4300K Color Temp (Pure white)
The bulbs are also focused so that the center of the light beam is in the same place as the halgon.

Kioto Ballasts and ignitors (Also OEM)

35W vs the stock 60W so im not using as much electric either.

Enjoy...

Nice job. Did you fabricate your own kit? Or did you buy an aftermarket kit?

Nice ultra-bright lights. If I'm ever in Miami, I'll be sure to rent a car equipped with a rear-facing cannon so I can obliterate you when you come up behind me and render me blind.

Great photos. Silver star are a good alternative. I've used them in our CRV and Element.

Spent a little more than $300 to my door for everything. Took me about 30 minutes to do both sides, I would rate it as very easy. Just plug in the hid to the stock bulb socket, plug the new bulb in, plug the ballast to the bulb and your done

Its a Kit that a friend of mine puts together, but its all OEM parts accept the new base on the bulb. It did require to put O-Rings on the bulb to hold it in place properly, but other than that it was bolt on.

ROFL.....thanks for putting it into words so well. that and the blindingly bright yellow fog lights.......not the stock foggers, the ones that burn a hole in your bumper as they tail you.
