My 2007 HCH gives only 22 mpg. What could be wrong.

The HCHII really involves the driver. That 6 miles in winter conditions was worst case. Just a few things, like checking maintenance items and upping tire pressures moderately can make a big difference. Plus, set your displays so that both the accumulated mileage (on the resettable trip odometer) and the realtime mileage (the bar graph indicator on the upper left corner of the top of dash display) are giving you feedback.

A light touch on the gas pedal makes a big difference. Watch upcoming road conditions and and driving "strategically" does as much as the hybrid technology
