I change oil & filter every 5,000 miles.
I rotate tires every 10,000.
I change my air and cabin filters every 30,000.
I'll flush the coolant, and change plugs and belts at 100,000.

i plan to change oil every 10,000 miles just like it says in the standard service schedule in the hch manual. have had just one oil change so far at 10000 miles, and am at 12,000 miles currently (if you are wondering, I didnt keep my gas receipts or track mileage on this site until 2,000 miles or so)

the serviceman was not concerned about how many miles to change my car's oil - all he wanted to do was to make money. so he suggested the 3750 mile interval changes, every other free as long as I adhere to that interval. I am changing oil and filter next, free, at 13750 miles, but I do not know what interval to adhere to after that. any suggestions? I don't want to change quicker than 5000 miles at a time.

 

I have kept all my gas receipts, but the ones printed on the "at the pump" printers are all faded . Oh well.
