LF: Rear bumper

LF: Rear bumper
Hi All,
My wife backed our 2006 Hybrid (dark blue) into her sister's car the other day and left a few scratches on the left rear. Luckily there was no damage on the body or taillight. I was able to re-install the bumper to fit back properly onto the clips. However, the scratches still remain. Does anyone know of any place or someone would happen to have a rear bumper (06-07 model) laying around?
Thanks,
Anthony

I feel the same way. Leave the scratches. It would suck to pay to get a new bumper and then just get another ding in it. Yeah, it's an eyesore. But some things are just not worth fixing.

Good point! It's my wife who primarily drives the car anyways. Yes it's an eyesore (especially on a brand new car). Oh well, I guess I have to live with it. At least she let me get a motorcycle. I can focus babying that

Re: LF: Rear bumper
My first car had a pretty bad dent in the door. We sold it to a friend, with out getting it fixed. A little while later he got hit in exactly the same spot. It was a good thing we didn't fix it.
How bad is the scratch? I doubt you need a whole new bumper. You might want to try polishing out the scratches or some touch up paint.

Re: LF: Rear bumper
the reason for the whole new bumper is because of the ease of taking it offf and installing the new one without having to paint over or polish the scratches. Also, my touch-up painting skills are close to none. Anyhow, I just thought anyone would know of a Hybrid (Dark Blue) would of been in a preferably front-end collision that may want to give up their rear bumper for spare parts.

Re: LF: Rear bumper
You can try going to one of the larger auto junk yards. Most of the bigger ones are now connected by computer. So if they don't have your make, model, and color there, hopefully they can locate another junkyard that does.
Good luck!

Wow, my wife just backed into a lightpole today!
Everyone tell your wives to be careful!
I just got a preliminary quote over the phone for a painted new bumper -- $630 new, $570 refurbed.
You may want to check out http://www.langka.com/. I've heard good things about "the blob".
Good luck.
