Default Interior color

Hi all,
I'm thinking of getting the new 06 HCH in the Magnetic Peral color.
(Dealer has it arriving any day and it's mine when it's in)
Now, I noticed that although the seat fabric is blue that the doors (indside) and trim of doors is a light color, more like ivory.
If you have the MP of the ASM color car, can you please share:
1) Is this indeed the case? (Light color interior trim and door)
2) Is the threshold also the light/ivory color, and if so, doesn't it get "marked up" from shoes as you enter and exit the car?
Thanks,
in2insight

I have the magnetic pearl color and you are right about the two-tone interior--the floorboard on the door entry IS ivory and does get scuffed easily. It is a small price to pay for the wonderful blue interior however.

I took some pictures of it so you can see how it is layed out: http://www.iceblink.org/p/hch/

The back seat looks a bit cramped. How much room is back there?

Many thanks!
I'll give it a look over when it arrives.
Funny that Honda did not install mud/dirt gaurds like Toyota did on my white Corolla.
Cheers,

Lightbulb Re: Interior color

I have been giving it some thought as to why Honda decided to Have part of the Interior in (Blue) and the rest of it
(The-Interior) in Ivory or Beige which ever it is.

I think it is to keep the (HEAT-LEVEL) down on the inside of the car and to help keep it (COOLER) so the Auto-Climate Control
does not have to Run as much and therefore it helps out with the "FE".

They could have had the Interior all in (Blue) if they did not have some reason for dividing the color scheme.

Thats just my opinion:

I think the reason they did it is because they have no sense of taste whatsoever. I mean, they gave tan interiors to the other colors -- light blue gets tan, white gets tan, gray gets tan. God knows what was running through Honda's collective mind when they chose tan over gray.
