I'm hearing the starter 2006 HCH
I've had the car for 7 months. It runs great and gets a steady 40+ without much effort from me.
Lately, when i start the car it uses the 12V starter, it churns and struggles to start before it fires.
THe battery pack has plenty of charge.
THe engine restarts automatically following auto-stop.
It usually does it only in the morning.
Local temps are in the 60s
any guesses ?

Check the voltage of the 12 v battery after sitting over night. It should be still holding 12.2 volts. I think you probably need a new 12v battery? Has it ever been changed? H

There was another guy here having that problem, and eventually, after a battle with Honda, he had the main battery replaced. And I believe that was the culprit. Normally the conventional starter should only be used in severe cold conditions.
