How much did you Pay?

Re: How much did you Pay?
Bought during the 1st round of cars that arrived in the Los Angeles area. Purchase early November 2005 for$1500 over MSRP, but that included window tint, wheel locks, and tire splash guards. I also had them install the motion sensor addition to the alarm for $600 which comes with an insurance policy that replaces the vehicle if it is stolen in the first 2 years. Total $2100 over invoice.
I'll be adding the ipod connector this year which runs another $300-400.. Now I'm up to about $2500 over invoice
Hey, I love my car.

MSRP in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. I waited 2 weeks. I requested email quotes from 40 dealers in a 100 mile radius to find the few that were dealing for MSRP. Another dealer just 18 miles from my dealer wanted $5,000 over MSRP! Seek and you shall find.

Re: How much did you Pay?
I just bought a 2006 Civic Hybrid for MSRP - $600 and it had a bunch of dealer added "accessories" that I didn't want but that were already there :-(. It looks like the car made it's way to the dealer some time in December - so it had been on the lot for a month and a half at least! They probably just wanted it out of inventory as they had 4 other Hybrids on the lot. I guess the market in central Pennsylvania is a bit different than some around the country! :-)

Still waiting for it, but...
$22,401 = MSRP - $1499 (or $516 over invoice) for '06 Civic Hybrid w/Navi. This is from the dealership in Bartlesville, OK. Dealer handling fee is an additional $49.50.
No dealer in the Dallas area would budge from MSRP (or MSRP+ for some). Although one dealer now (in Irving) is talking smack about matching the Bartlesville deal (too late). I think the supply is starting to catch up to demand in some areas now, so good deals should be seen more frequently from now on.
I'll pay for tags and taxes when I get tags (in TX). Worth the 5 or 6 hour drive to Bartlesville - if all holds true.

Re: How much did you Pay?
MSRP - $900 for my Silver w/o Nav. Went to www.edmunds.com and used internet links to local dealers. Best deal was from dealer 90 miles away, but still had to push the negotiations by mentioning a local deal to get them to beat it. Ordered in December, waited for January to get federal tax credit. Use the internet, it's easy to do from home and usually the sales person knows they are competing with a bunch of other dealers, so they will be more flexible on price.
Good luck.
