How many miles/kilometers for every tank on average?
Hi,
I am doing some research on the HCH. The threads here have been very informative. I have been keeping track of the the FE on my '98 Accord for years now. The easiest way for me to do this is to keep a record of how the distance I travel on each tank of gas. On average, I get about 310 miles/tank (500 km/tank).
I know there is a thread here on the best mileage/tank. I am interested in what people are getting just with average day to day driving, not being obsessed with FE all the time.
Thanks!

hi Dave, Not the same car but may be useful to you, check out my best distance here=>http://www.thespoils.8m.com/photo2.html for the NAH. Just remember the NAH has a 20 gal tank and involved some respect towards the accelerator. Good Luck
Looking at the data for my car, an HCH-I, in normal driving I averaged approximately 475 miles per tank. I averaged the data from all the full-tanks and excluded any "half-tank" data. This included my all-time worst winter tanks and my better warm-weather tanks. I never let the tank run all the way down; the fill-ups ranged from 10.9 gallons to 12.1 gallons to refill (The tank holds 13.? gallons; can't remember the exact decimal.)
Thanks.
About 800 miles on a tank. http://www.thespoils.8m.com/photo2.html
Do you have an HCH I or HCH II?
I only had the car since the end of June, I am getting around 900-950KM per tank. I noticed that once the low fuel light comes on, I can get around another 150-200KM on the car.
