How many miles do YOU average ????

Re: How many miles do YOU average ????
I live in Southern California, and I spend so much of my day in the car. I have to say, I am so happy that I get to spend it in a HCH2 gliding along on the freeway.
I am back to contract work, so I'm probably averaging about 50-100 miles per day (when I am out on the road). Some days I'm home working.

It's all starting to fall into a pattern. So many of us drive a LOT that we are the ones feeling the biggest gas pinch and are a little more motivated than average to get hybrids. Not everyone, but many of us... very interesting.

About 45mi/day. Both my wife and I have about a 7 mi commute. I work 3rd shift and she works 1st - this kills the mileage in the cold weather here.

Well, I'm about 2 months, 10 days into owning the car, and I'm at 6400 miles at the moment. BUT, I'm leaving to Vegas in a couple of hours, so that will put another 600 miles on it, so I'll be over 7K by the time I come back....

Almost 100 miles per day, 5 days a week for my commute.
The Grand Caravan stays parked more & more with these gas prices, so tag on another 150-250 miles per week for the HCH.

I've had the '06 HCH for about a week and a half and put 500 miles on it. With the hills and winter of Pittsburgh, I have gotten 37.8 miles per gallon. Not bad considering I was getting about 12 to 16 MPG with my Infiniti G35.

Re: How many miles do YOU average ????
I've had my car for 2 years (almost exactly to the day) and I've got 16,000 ish on it. Or about 8,000 a year.... or about 667 miles a month. That includes a road trip from TX to FL and a few trips from Dallas to Austin in that time.
My car is about making a statement, not about saving money. I can do that on a bike or on foot, too.
