Did anybody else see this? Any further information other than this link? Maybe it is another non-USA version like how we don't have Adaptive Cruise Control or a rear seat armrest.

My guess is it's an I4 version of the HAH's engine block, tuned for performance instead of efficiency.

 

This looks to me just like a stock HCH with a "sporty" trim, ie some custom wheels and a nice paint job.

What I would like to see for a sporty honda hybrid would be an HCH with this trim, the 1.7L block from the standard Civic (with a more efficient cam) + IMA, and a motor on the rear wheels. With the smaller chassis, the performance could be similar to the Accord Hybrid without a (relatively) gas guzzling V6.
