I am really considering one though. I reviewed the install documentation for the BASS system and the installation doesn't appear to be difficult. I will probably install it when the weather becomes warmer.

How much does it cost with, and without, dealer installation?

College Hills Honda has the best prices on accessories

Their price is about $268 and it looks pretty easy to install. I would like to here from someone who has it to see if there is a significant improvement in sound quality.

I looked at their 8-page pdf installation instructions.

It has settings of the bass amp for the DX LX and EX but not for the hybrid.

Is the stereo in the hybrid the same as the LX and EX?

I looked at the instructions too. They do not account for the vent and the battery against the back seat (or so it appears when I read it). I would need to confirm the installation for a hybrid first.

Rick,

The bass system is a very welcome addition. I reported on my installation in another post...(see my post "Notes from a Hybrid Pioneer")

Use these instructions at the following link that apply to the Civic Hybrid II. They cover the rear deck air vent in the steps. Even though they are preliminary, they are correct.
http://www.handa-accessories.com/civic/06hybridbass.pdf

I have found that the increase in Bass is very noticable and no significant rattles in rear deck even during heavy volume and bass content.

Good luck!

That is the same price I was quoted. You should see about ordering the parts yourself online and then having Honda install them. You could probably save a good bit of money.

If you order online how can you be sure they are not counterfit or defective parts?

Why would Honda allow anyone to undercut their dealers?
