Default Help! 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid won't start!

Hello. I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid that won't start. The car doesn't even sound like it's trying to turn over and the engine beeps when you turn the key. I had a friend jump it and it took 15 minutes for the car to get enough of a charge to start the we waited a few minutes before we disconnected the cables but as soon as we did, it died again. I know the hybrid battery is going bad but the i had the other battery checked and it works just fine. I did an oil change a few days ago. I've had people tell me that it's the starter or the alternator and I dont know where to start. Please help. I dont know much about it but I'll tell anyone what I can if it will help. It's my only vehicle. Thank you.
