I'm just wondering if anyone has tried to use a hch as a backup electric generator. I'm wondering if you can connect an inverter to the battery and leave the car in neutral (with parking brake on) and if the hch would cycle the engine on to charge the battery and cycle off when the battery level was above the threshold.
