Default First 100 miles

Hi All,

Just traded in my 2003 BMW Z4 3.0 for a 2006 HCH and needless to say the cars are a bit different.

First off, this is my first hybrid and I have had basically no problem getting close to 50mpg for the first 100miles I have driven it, just a different kind of performance.

Pro's for HCH:
- Less money paid to the A-holes in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, and Texghanistan.
- save $100/week between payments/ins/gas
- Quieter
- Smoother
- better resale value
- get to play the MPG video game

Cons:
- I doubt hot chicks are going to be tossing their business cards to me at stop lights like they did in the Z4 convertible
- No 120mph plus cruises across the flat central valley
- No hours of wonderful .95g turns up hiway 1 to Fort Bragg

Anyhow, just wanted to say HI and thanks to all for the information that you have all been posting here.

Ken

Yes it is truly an exceptional car and, in my view, terrific value for all the technology it packs. Welcome aboard! Bad news about the chicks but think of all the grandmothers who will be queueing up to be taken to seventh heaven!

Congrats. Sounds like you are safer in this car (at least to others). There are plenty of hot, environmentally-minded females.

BowDirk - What are you doing at Ft. Bragg? If you are still here then that means there are at least 2 HCH II in Cumberland County.
