+1 That was an awsome read !

As mentioned in your little story, everyone makes an excuse to not have one.

Actually, my Honda Civic Hybrid does have the following:
- Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror.
- Bluetooth Integration
- Premium Audio Bass Kit
- Interior Lighting

All of which are on most higher end luxury cars/cuv/suv/etc

And may I be the 2nd, 3d, or 4th the endorsement! Awesome post. Although the FEH will never get the mileage that HCH can obtain (physics), it is still pretty good. Current hybrid owners (all of us), may not be saving the planet, but we are contributing to a slight savings at least.

I'd like to do more, and if I were 40 years younger, I'd still ride by 51 year old bicycle to work like I used to do, but the years take it's toll, and now I drive. A hybrid isn't as good as a bicycle, but it beats most of the gas guzzlers on the streets today.

Save fuel with your hybrid, and other non-hybrid vehicles. Eliminate driving when you can. Walk, run, or ride your bicycle when it's practical. Never apologize for having a hybrid vehicle in your garage. Hold on to what's good if life. I still have my first ball glove and wife. I did finally get rid of my one and only bicycle that Santa gave me at Christmas 1956

Life is good, Enjoy your hybrid, and hold your head high through every office discussion. Hybrid ownership is nothing to be ashamed of. Be proud.

Very good, nicely said. But you forgot to ask the other driver what the payback period is for their V8 upgrade, so they can tell you about how the upgrade they bought not only cost extra, but wastes more gas, and has no potential to earn it back.

Excellent, 1stpik!

Sad to say, but you could've been having much of that conversation with ME, just a few short years ago
For me, greater knowledge - and especially ownership - equals understanding.

Well, equiped with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports, I will certainly not refrain me from saying what I think. Most of the time I make them feel idiot. I know it is not a good and an inviting strategy and I am changing it. However, there is no time anymore for a soft approach and an active advocacy is required. So, I suggess you to just bring the basic argument and try to educate that stupid humanking. Strong of your conviction and the reality, you have all the power to shut them up.
