carbon fiber hood?

Has anyone considered adding carbon fiber parts to make the hch lighter? I'm not sure how much of a weight savings could be found but I've thought about getting a hood just to see how it would affect mileage. They aren't cheap, though.
On a different note, I went to increase my tire pressure the other day and found they were all set at 25 lbs. Not 35 lbs, 25 lbs. Now, I'm surprised at the mileage I've been getting. I bumped them to 35 lbs and will probably increase them to 40-45 soon just to see how it affects my mileage.
