Bye Bye Car

Bye Bye Car
Ah, my Civic crowd: I'm no longer one of you. I'm in the process of moving across the country and I just didn't want to drag payments with me to California where the cost of living is so much higher and I'm looking for a big place. Today my beloved HCH bit the dust after a lustrious career of more than 50 MPG, but no worries - I got a great deal on a 2002 Insight and can't wait to start adding to the DB with it. Farewell, Exploit. Enjoy retirement.

Bit the dust = sold? or isn't running?
That Insight should get fantastic mileage. It is hard to step up in mpg from a Civic, even a Prius is just a lateral move. The Insight was really the only car that offers a meaningful improvement.

Eskri, you're right: CA is hybrid country! - went out there last week for my interview and was thrilled to see such a high ratio. Inspiring I say. San Francisco may take its toll with hills and bad traffic, but at least I've got a car that won't be tough squeezing into parking spaces
