Default Bummer, my 8-month, database, log-run is tarnished.

My lady put $20 on the way to the grocery store because there was one bar left.

Sigh...

Oh well, I guess the pressure's off.

The trip computer said 39.1, last I saw (there was a blizzard). Should I log that as my tank? My computer has bee both over- and under-optimistic.

...and now I have to go put $1's worth of gas in, to top-off and reset the trip meter?!? I'm not logging that 1/2 gallon tank!

Oh, well. I forgive her.

If she put $20.00 in can't you calculate the amount of fuel? as long as you know the number of miles driven since your last tank you should still be able to accurately calculate the tank.

I purposefully filled in the starting mileage field in the database so if the odometer I keep my tank miles gets reset in the middle I can go off of the cars odometer and subtract the miles the database shows to get the miles since my last entry.

My thought exactly. Most stations put the amount of fuel purchased on the receipt. If not, you can calculate it as long as you know the price. Gallons = $ / price.

She doesn't have the receipt and I don't know if it's so big a deal to call the gas station to see how much gas was yesterday.

Good thinking though.

I'm going to trust the trip computer this one time and log a "double" tank.
